Country Manor was one of several planned communities that was developed on the land owned by the Wilson Family, former owners of the White Fence Farm restaurant. While most of the homes in Country Manor are newer custom homes, there are four residences that were original Wilson family homes. Part of the development plan included the donation of land on the north side of Jewell Avenue to the city ofLakewood, which was designated as the “Wilson Family Park” and is zoned for non-development (with the exception of a potential athletic field immediately adjacent to Jewell). The ponds adjacent to the community are part of the Sanderson Gulch storm water drainage and also cannot be developed.
